Company Technicians VS. Subcontractors

Company Technicians VS. Subcontractors

At Stannah, we are committed to giving you the best quality product time and time again. When it comes to your personal safety, it’s of the utmost importance. All of our employees are dedicated to giving you the best experience possible, and that’s our promise to you.

Company Technicians

All of our technicians are not subcontractors; rather, they are employees of Stannah. This means something for a variety of reasons. First of all, employed technicians are more dedicated to the job at hand. If you directly hire someone, they have an emotionally vested interest in the company. This means that the technicians are motivated to do their absolute best.

Why are direct-hired technicians more emotionally invested in the company? Well, it’s likely that the technicians get some kind of paid benefits from their employer. With a subcontractor, this is not the case. The subcontractor receives no short-term disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits like their direct-hire counterparts.

When it comes to employed technicians, they most likely applied for the job. That means that they chose the company and showed a genuine interest in working with them for one reason or another. With subcontractors, the company likely picked them, which means that the subcontractor might not be as invested in the company. This may reflect poorly on customer service.

This leads to the point of quality of service. If the employed technicians do a poor job on an installation, the company can more easily discipline that employee and rectify the problem. It’s much more difficult to discipline a subcontractor since they are not directly tied to the company.

When an employee is happy where they work, this reflects in the everything they do, including dealing with a customer. Sometimes a smile is all the customer needs to feel trusting and comfortable with the technicians.

At Stannah, our employed technicians are dedicated to excellence. This results in an impeccable experience with the customer that is unlike anything a subcontractor can provide.
